Welcome to the Highcliffe Country Dancing web site
We are a happy and sociable bunch of people who enjoy our dancing.
Our club evenings are every Thursday with the exception of August and Christmas at Highcliffe Community Association
(See "Find Us tab for more information). Start time 7:30pm.
All dances are walked through before the music starts, and there are plenty of people only too pleased to offer guidance if needed. You do not need to bring a partner, but they will also be very welcome. Bring along a sense of humour and a willingness to have a go.
If you have never done this type of dancing before, we will help you to get started and have fun at your first session.
If it goes wrong, don't worry - its only a dance! As you gain experience you can embellish your dancing. So, whether you are an experienced dancer or an up-and-coming beginner, we hope to help you enhance your dancing and add to your enjoyment of Country Dancing.
Our aim is to offer a good dancing experience to new members at all levels. So you can be assured of a warm welcome at any of our evenings and the first evening is a come and try evening.
Regular dancing is great for losing weight, maintaining strong bones, improving posture and muscle strength, increasing balance and beating stress. One of the best things about dancing is that while you’re having fun moving to music and meeting new people, you’re getting all the health benefits of a good workout.
What more do we need to say? Come on, give it a go!
